Martin Nečas Excitedly Discusses His $92 Million Contract with Colorado Avalanche

Forward Martin Nečas shared his thoughts regarding his new eight-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche, worth a total of $92 million.

“I’m extremely happy to extend my contract with the team and I’m thrilled to play for you guys. We will do everything we can to bring the Stanley Cup back to Denver,” Nečas stated, as reported by the Colorado press office.

Nečas was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes with the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. On January 24, 2025, the forward was traded to Colorado.

This season, the 26-year-old player has participated in 11 games, scoring seven goals and providing six assists. Over his career in the National Hockey League, Martin has played 452 games, accumulating a total of 339 points (131 goals and 208 assists).
