Majority of U.S. Voters Oppose Government Funded Crypto Reserve, Survey Finds

Most American voters oppose the idea of a crypto reserve funded through government spending and do not view the development of the industry and blockchain technologies as a priority. This is indicated by a survey conducted by Data For Progress.

Among the 1,169 participants surveyed, 51% are against the implementation of such a strategic reserve, while 34% support the concept and 15% remain undecided. Among Republicans, 41% are in favor and 40% are against. Among Democrats, only 29% of respondents agreed with the idea, whereas 59% expressed their disapproval.

Additionally, 45% of voters believe that the U.S. government should reduce funding for initiatives related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, considering them less of a priority than AI and space programs. Only 10% of respondents advocated for increased spending in the crypto sector.

It is worth noting that the U.S. government plans to introduce a bill aimed at safeguarding the strategic Bitcoin reserve from potential cancellation by future administrations.
