Mail Cloud Introduces Gesture-Controlled Photo Management Feature for Easy Organization

The «Mail Cloud» service has introduced an interactive photo management feature that allows users to swiftly decide what to do with their pictures (either save or delete) using gestures (swipes). This new functionality is available in the iOS mobile app via the Mail Space subscription.

«Organizing important images in ‘Mail Cloud’ has become easier—simply swipe left to delete or right to save forever. The interactive photo management mode through gestures enables users to quickly sort through their recent photos and retain only the best ones. The swipe feature, popular in dating apps, works particularly well on smartphones,» explained VK.

Users can activate the «Sort Photos» feature in the iOS mobile application, which displays each photo as a card managed by gestures. Swiping left sends the photo to the trash, while swiping right allows users to move on to the next image. All selected photos for deletion are immediately moved to the «Trash» in cloud storage, while the decision to delete from the device remains with the user. Developers believe this new mechanism facilitates quick organization within the «Mail Cloud» gallery and the user’s mobile device.

«We aim to make Mail Cloud a reliable and convenient space for storing the most cherished photos, which is why we continuously improve the service. Now, users have an easy and effective tool to manage their images, keep their gallery organized, and free up space for new memories. We will soon extend this ability to Android users as well,» stated Sergey Tarasenko, head of the product division for «Mail» and «Mail Cloud.»

Previously, the «Mail Cloud» service launched a smart duplicate photo search feature powered by AI, allowing users on the cloud platform to identify and eliminate duplicate copies in one location, thus making more space for new files in their storage.
