LG CLOiD: новый этап в эволюции домашних помощников с AI Translation: LG CLOiD: a new stage in the evolution of AI home assistants

LG Electronics has unveiled a next-generation home robot powered by artificial intelligence, named LG CLOiD. This was reported by The Korea Times.

The full presentation is set for January 6 at the CES 2026 exhibition.

The device is capable of performing household tasks, managing home appliances, and naturally interacting with residents by understanding their daily routines and surroundings.

The launch of LG CLOiD aligns with the company’s long-term vision of creating a «home free from mundane chores, where people can spend time together.»

In one of its demonstrations, the robot prepares breakfast for a resident in a hurry to work. Using a pre-programmed algorithm, the bot retrieves milk from the fridge, places croissants in the oven, and gathers essentials like apartment keys. After the person leaves, LG CLOiD continues to carry out household chores.

Designed with a humanoid appearance to streamline tasks, the robot features a body consisting of a head and two arms and moves around on wheels. LG CLOiD can adjust its height from 105 cm to 143 cm, and its limbs, which are approximately 87 cm long, allow it to reach various items.

The robot’s head serves as the control center for a smart home based on an AI platform, LG Q9. It houses a chipset, display, speakers, cameras, sensors, and a voice generative AI.

“Our aim is to create a home where robots and AI-powered appliances take on household responsibilities, allowing people to relax, enjoy life, and focus on what truly matters,” representatives from LG stated.

As a reminder, in December 2025, six humanoid G1 robots from Unitree Robotics performed at a concert as dancer stand-ins and executed a synchronized front flip.
