Leaked Case for Google Pixel 10 Series Reveals Subtle Design Tweaks and New Features Compared to Pixel 9

The forthcoming flagship range from Google is anticipated to consist of four models — Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Numerous leaks have emerged regarding these devices, some providing insights into the design while others hint at significant specifications. Recently, an alleged case intended for the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro has surfaced. This protective cover, reportedly from a reputable case manufacturer, implies a design and size akin to that of last year’s Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro. According to the leak, the Pixel 10 series is expected to feature slightly altered dimensions compared to its predecessors.

Android Authority claims to have obtained a case from Thinborne that is specifically tailored for the upcoming Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. The report mentions that a Pixel 9 Pro fits almost perfectly into a case designed for the standard Pixel 10 and the Pro variant. This indicates that the dimensions of the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro will be quite similar to those of the Pixel 9 models.

Nevertheless, the images and video included in the report reveal that the port cutouts of the Pixel 10 case do not align with the top and bottom edges of the Pixel 9. This implies alterations in port placements. The reported Pixel 10 case partially obscures the 5G antenna on the Pixel 9 Pro. Additionally, the bottom part of the case seems to have undergone a complete redesign compared to the Thinborne case for the Pixel 9.

The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are projected to feature two speaker cutouts at the bottom rather than just one. It is also probable that the SIM tray will be relocated to the top in these new devices. The rear camera bar shows discrepancies in alignment, suggesting a somewhat larger camera module for the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro.

The report indicates that users of the Pixel 9 will be unable to reuse their existing case with the Pixel 10. Despite the similarity in appearance, the minor design adjustments require a case made specifically for the Pixel 10.

Previous image leaks hinted that the Pixel 10 series may closely mirror the Pixel 9 lineup. This new series is expected to be unveiled on August 20 at a Made By Google launch event. The smartphones are likely to come equipped with the Tensor G5 chip.
