Kobelev Commends Dynamo Players for Tenacious Victory Over Samaras Krylia Sovetov

Russian coach **Andrey Kobelev** commented on the victory of Moscow’s Dynamo over Krylia Sovetov (3-1) while playing with a reduced squad during the 27th round of the Russian Premier League. The white-and-blue team played with ten men from the 49th minute after Colombian player **Jorge Carrascal** was sent off.

«Krylia Sovetov’s match against Dynamo was of high quality from our side. The most important thing is the win, and I applaud the team’s effort as they fought until the end, even while playing a man down for nearly the entirety of the second half. They deserve respect for that. However, we also need to note that Krylia appeared unprepared for this match.

After a coaching change, players often undergo a psychological shake-up. Those who aren’t regular starters tend to want to prove their worth to the new coach. Dynamo maintained its style of play, showing good teamwork and attacking actively. On one hand, I was surprised by Krylia’s poor performance, but on the other hand, it’s a symptom of being on the periphery. The Samara team has accumulated enough points to stay in the RPL, which may have led to a degree of complacency,» Kobelev stated in an interview with Championship correspondent Vladislav Kruglov.

Following the 27th round, Moscow’s Dynamo sits in fifth place in the RPL standings with 50 points. On May 1, Czech coach Marcell Lička was dismissed from his position, and Russian coach Roland Gusev took over temporarily. Krylia Sovetov, with 30 points in 27 matches, occupies the 10th spot in the table.
