Join the Nationwide Online Olympiad in Computer Science on Uchi.ru: A Chance for Students to Shine!

From August 26 to September 29, the educational online platform Uchi.ru will host a nationwide online olympiad in computer science. Students from grades 1 to 11, as well as preschool children, are eligible to participate. High school students (grades 8-11) who achieve the best results will earn 25 extra points in the qualifying stage of the All-Russian Programming Olympiad «Technocup.»

The Uchi.ru Computer Science Olympiad offers students the chance to explore the fundamentals of programming and enhance their logical, structural, and algorithmic thinking, according to the organizers. Participants will have 60 minutes to complete the tasks, which include solving eight problems on a variety of topics, ranging from finding the shortest path and working with graphs to modeling challenges in bioinformatics and creating interfaces using artificial intelligence. Some of the themes cover «Space Tourism» (developing web applications with AI), «Farm» (components of connectivity), «Shortest Code» (assembling a DNA genome from fragments), among others.

«The Uchi.ru Olympiad is an entry point into computer science, allowing students to explore the practical side of the subject and tackle real-world problems. The connection with ‘Technocup’ enhances this experience, as students’ achievements gain recognition in specialized olympiad activities and become part of their educational portfolios,» says Ilona Abanshina, the head of regional development at Uchi.ru.

The olympiad will take place online, and participation is free. Registration can be completed on the website [informatics.uchi.ru](http://informatics.uchi.ru) or by logging in with Uchi.ru credentials. The partners of the olympiad include VK, MIPT, and Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
