Joaquin Buckley Shares His Plans for Fight Earnings Against Kamaru Usman

The seventh-ranked UFC welterweight fighter, American **[Joaquin Buckley](https://ufc.com/athlete/joaquin-buckley)**, shared how he plans to use his earnings from the upcoming fight against former champion **Kamaru Usman**.

«May God bless us for this fight at UFC Fight Night. I want to take this opportunity to donate my fight purse to the relief fund for the tornado victims in St. Louis,» Buckley stated, as reported by the Red Corner account on social media platform X (previously Twitter).

The bout between Usman and Buckley will headline UFC on ESPN 69, taking place on June 16 in Atlanta, USA.

It’s worth noting that Usman hasn’t fought in a year and a half. His last match occurred in October 2023 in Abu Dhabi at UFC 294, where he faced Khamzat Chimaev. The fight ended in a majority decision victory for Chimaev after three rounds. At present, Kamaru is on a streak of three consecutive losses.

On the other hand, Buckley last fought on December 14 at UFC on ESPN 63, where he defeated fellow American Colby Covington via technical knockout in the third round. Currently, Joaquin is on a winning streak of six fights.
