iPhone SE 4 Unveiled: A Stylish Evolution with iPhone 14-Inspired Notch and USB-C Upgrade

iPhone SE 4 is said to be under development as the next iteration following the iPhone SE (2022). Initial reports indicated that this upcoming phone might feature Apple’s Dynamic Island, but an industry expert has dismissed these assertions, confirming that it will retain a notch design akin to the iPhone 14. Leaked prototype images provide insight into the design of the iPhone SE 4, which also bears resemblance to the iPhone 14, with the exception of its rear camera configuration.

Design of the iPhone SE 4

tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Ross Young, an industry analyst and Vice President at Counterpoint Research, asserted that rumors regarding the iPhone SE 4 featuring an iPhone 14-style notch are indeed “accurate.” This contradicts recent speculations about Apple introducing Dynamic Island in its most budget-friendly iPhone variant.

Additionally, tipster Majin Bu posted a live video clip of the alleged iPhone SE 4, showcasing its design. The phone appears to combine elements from various iPhone models. The rear of the device resembles the iPhone 4, featuring a glossy back with a single rear camera and LED flash. Conversely, its side edges and front design are similar to the iPhone 14. The video further confirms that Apple will replace the lightning port with a USB Type-C port on the iPhone SE, complying with European Union regulations mandating standardized charging ports for electronic devices.

Significantly, the iPhone SE (2022) is currently the only model in Apple’s lineup featuring a lightning port. All newer models, including the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series, utilize USB Type-C connectivity. However, the 2022 variant is likely to be discontinued with the launch of the iPhone SE 4.

Expected Specifications of the iPhone SE 4

Recent reports suggest that the anticipated iPhone SE 4 may feature a 6.06-inch LTPS OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz, which is significantly larger than the 4.7-inch screen on its predecessor. It is predicted to include a 48-megapixel single rear camera. The device might be equipped with Apple’s A18 processor along with 8GB of RAM. While these specifications align with Apple’s performance ambitions for its Intelligence, it remains uncertain if these features will be supported upon release.

Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to be the first model from Apple to implement its proprietary 5G modem.
