Introducing the Huawei Band 10: A Stylish and Feature-Packed Fitness Tracker for Budget-Conscious Users

Huawei has officially unveiled a new addition to its wearable lineup with the debut of the Huawei Band 10. This latest smart band serves as the successor to the Huawei Band 9, which was released in India last year. The new band is packed with a variety of appealing features and boasts a high-quality design, all while remaining budget-friendly. Is it wise to opt for this new fitness tracker? I had the opportunity to test the device, and here’s everything you need to know.

The price of the Huawei Band 10 in India begins at Rs. 6,499 for the polymer model, while the aluminium alloy version is set at Rs. 6,999. Notably, the company is offering a promotional launch price of Rs. 3,499 for the polymer and Rs. 4,199 for the aluminium variants. With the pricing details out of the way, let’s delve into the design.

The Huawei Band 10 comes in various colors and two different case materials: polymer and aluminium.

The Huawei Band 10 is available in two materials: polymer and aluminium alloy. I received the aluminium variant for my assessment, which does indeed feel robust and premium. The textured aluminium alloy case is impressively lightweight at just 15 grams, with a thickness of 8.99mm, making it comfortable for all-day wear without drawing too much attention. The Huawei Band 10 comes with a silicone strap that is quite pleasant to wear.

There’s a range of color options available. The aluminium casing can be found in Matte Black, White, Green, Blue, and Purple. The polymer version is offered in Black and Pink. For my review, I received the Matte Black variant. Its aesthetic is minimalist, featuring a side button on the right that allows you to turn the display on/off or access the menu.

This fitness tracker is equipped with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display.

Regarding the display, the Huawei Band 10 features a 1.47-inch AMOLED touchscreen that boasts a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels and a pixel density of 282ppi. Initial testing shows that the touchscreen operates smoothly, although it seems somewhat small for my hands.

As for features, the Huawei Band 10 supports a whopping 100 workout modes and employs AI algorithms to automatically track activities such as running and climbing. Additionally, it provides sleep tracking, continuous heart rate monitoring, stress management, SpO2 tracking, and more. The band is also water-resistant with a 5ATM rating and includes a specialized swimming feature for accurate stroke and lap tracking. That said, these features have yet to be fully evaluated, and we will explore them further in our upcoming review.

It boasts a battery life of up to 14 days.

Finally, the Huawei Band 10 is designed for longevity, with the company claiming it can last up to 14 days on a single charge. It requires 45 minutes for a full charge, and a quick five-minute charge can yield up to two days of battery life.

In summary, the Huawei Band 10 appears to be a compelling budget-friendly fitness tracker that encompasses the key features you would expect in a smart wearable. However, it will be intriguing to see how it performs in daily use and how accurately it tracks various metrics. Stay tuned for a comprehensive review of the Huawei Band 10.
