Introducing Mivi AI Buds: Revolutionizing Wireless Sound with Advanced AI Assistant in India

On Friday, Mivi introduced its AI Buds in-ear earphones in India. The latest addition to their lineup of truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones is designed with a voice-activated artificial intelligence (AI) system, enabling hands-free communication. Named Mivi AI, it boasts a context-aware functionality with memory capabilities, although it must be connected to the companion application to operate. The earbuds incorporate a 13mm driver and a quad-microphone array, promising up to 40 hours of total playback time when used with the charging case. Currently, the Mivi AI Buds can be purchased.

Pricing and Availability of Mivi AI Buds in India

According to a press release, the Mivi AI Buds are priced at Rs. 6,999 in India. However, they are currently listed on Mivi’s official Indian website for Rs. 5,999. They come in a variety of colours including Black, Bronze, Champagne, and Silver. You can buy the earphones through Flipkart and the Mivi India website.

Specifications and Features of Mivi AI Buds

The Mivi AI Buds feature a seamless metallic body with an hourglass-shaped stem design, polished to a glossy finish. Their design is reminiscent of the Mivi SuperPods Concerto that debuted in March. These earbuds are equipped with a 13mm driver, a quad microphone setup, and have a weight of 52g, including the case.

Mivi AI Buds are designed to provide a 3D sound experience and support spatial audio. They are equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 and are compatible with the LDAC codec. Additionally, these earbuds offer active noise cancellation, though specific details were not disclosed. The total playtime offered is claimed to be 40 hours with the case, which takes one hour to fully charge.

Furthermore, the earbuds have an IPX4 water resistance rating, dual connectivity options, and a dedicated gaming mode.

Features of Mivi AI

A standout feature of these TWS earphones is the built-in Mivi AI assistant. This voice-enabled AI can be accessed directly through the earbuds when paired with the Mivi AI companion app. Although the AI assistant operates independently of a screen, users can choose a text-based interaction option via the app. The assistant can be activated with the phrase “Hi Mivi.”

Mivi AI includes five pre-set avatars: Chef, Guru, Interviewer, News Reporter, and Wellness Coach. Each avatar serves as a specialized chatbot catering to distinct areas of expertise and can operate concurrently. The Guru avatar is adept at simplifying complex subjects; the Interviewer aids in preparation for interviews; the Chef provides detailed cooking instructions; the News Reporter presents personalized news updates; and the Wellness Coach listens to users empathetically without judgment.

According to Gadgets 360, Mivi confirmed earlier this year that the Mivi AI service will initially be free, although the company envisions transitioning to a freemium model in the future, including additional premium features for a subscription fee.
