Instagram Now Lets You Share Spotify Songs with Sound in Stories

The social network Instagram** has introduced the ability to share Spotify songs with audio in Stories. Previously, users could only see the album cover and a link to the track on the streaming service. Now, Stories allow for the playback of a 15-second preview of the song.

This update makes it easier to discover and share content on the platform without having to leave Instagram.

The feature was rolled out just days after the platform launched a similar capability for Instagram Notes. Users can stream tracks from Spotify directly to their Instagram Notes page.

This enhanced integration with Spotify aims to position Meta*’s Instagram as a hub for discovering new music and encourages users to spend more time within the app. The advancement of music features is intended to help Instagram compete more effectively with TikTok, which currently dominates this space and shapes global trends.

Previously, Instagram announced the release of new fonts for Stories and Reels. Initially, the platform will introduce a font designed by singer Rosalía. Additionally, the platform is testing a reposting feature. This function was first noticed back in 2022.
