Insider Confirms No Progress on Bloodborne Remake, Fans Remain Hopeful Yet Disappointed

It seems that fans of Bloodborne will need to be patient—or perhaps give up any hope altogether. There has been no progress on a remake of the iconic game that was released on PlayStation 4 in 2015.

Insider Jeff Grubb recently shared in the Game Mess podcast that he checked on the project again and received the same response: «Nothing is happening with Bloodborne, so don’t expect any news.» This news has disappointed fans who continuously hope for an announcement about a remake or a PC version during State of Play events.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that the rights to the franchise are held by Sony, meaning that the decision to develop any new content rests entirely with them. Recently, the announcement of The Duskbloods for Nintendo Switch 2 led many to mistakenly believe it was a sequel to Bloodborne due to its similar atmosphere and enemy designs, but those expectations turned out to be unfounded.
