Hong Kong Developer Reitar Logtech to Acquire $1.5 Billion in Bitcoin for Global Expansion and Financial Stability

Hong Kong-based Reitar Logtech Holdings is looking to invest $1.5 billion in Bitcoin. This information was disclosed in a filing with the SEC.

The company operates in the real estate and logistics technology sectors.

The primary goal of this investment is to «strengthen the treasury reserves.» The purchase is also aimed at accelerating the company’s global expansion. Reitar Logtech plans to utilize Bitcoin as a hedging tool against volatility in traditional markets, thereby enhancing financial stability.

The SEC filing was signed by Kin Chun Chan, who holds positions as director, chairman, and CEO of the firm. However, the company has not specified a timeline for the planned Bitcoin acquisition.

To recall, in May, Bernstein analysts predicted that corporate Bitcoin reserves could reach $330 billion by 2029.

Jess Meyers of Moon forecasted that the proportion of digital gold on corporate balance sheets could grow to 50% by 2045.

Later, DDC Enterprise from Hong Kong announced its intentions to acquire 5,000 BTC over the next three years.
