Hideo Kojima on the Horror Anthology OD: Im Not Sure If My Vision Will Work

The enigmatic titles OD and Physint, currently in development by Hideo Kojima, are proving to be quite perplexing for the audience, leaving many questions unanswered. The developer is attempting to address this gradually by sharing more insights into his vision for these games. Recently, he mentioned that both titles are directing his studio towards different creative avenues. In an interview with Ananweb, he recalled the September event Beyond the Strand, where he elaborated on his upcoming projects for both Microsoft and Sony.

While discussing OD, Kojima emphasized that this is an experimental horror anthology, unlike anything he has done previously. According to him, the concept is so unique that he is unsure if he can bring it to a fully developed state.

The legendary game designer noted that the trailer hides numerous clues, and attentive viewers might be able to discern what makes this project innovative.

When it came to Physint, Kojima couldn’t resist making a joke. He claimed that he could create stealth-action almost on autopilot, given his deep familiarity with the genre.

Regardless of what Kojima‘s projects turn out to be, we will have to wait a considerable time, as he only released his last game— Death Stranding 2: On the Beach—earlier this year.
