Hamilton Reflects on 15th Place Sprint Finish: Gained Valuable Insights About Our Updates

The 40-year-old British driver and seven-time Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton from the Ferrari team, shared his thoughts on finishing 15th in the sprint race at the Belgian Grand Prix.

«On the positive side, I didn’t spin out and managed to make some progress, but it was a really challenging sprint. We all found ourselves in a DRS train, which was frustrating, yet I definitely learned a lot about our updates.

I was reflecting on how Charles had some updates after Montreal, and you saw the crash he had there; it felt similar to what happened to me yesterday. So, it’s all about fine-tuning the setup. Yesterday was the first time I drove in this configuration, so we can make some adjustments before qualifying to address certain issues. My actual pace in qualifying [during the sprint] was quite decent, though I wouldn’t say the same for my race pace. However, starting position is clearly vital here, and I’m hoping for a better outcome today,» Hamilton’s comments were reported by Sky Sports.
