Gmails AI-Powered Search Update Promises Faster Access to the Most Relevant Results

Google has announced the launch of a new feature for Gmail search. This AI-based function aims to «display the most relevant results more quickly.»

According to Google, this update takes into account factors such as the timestamp of emails and frequently contacted individuals, rather than simply listing emails chronologically based on keywords. This is expected to enhance the likelihood that the sought-after emails will appear at the top of the search results, thus saving users’ time.

Google states that this new feature will be available for personal Google accounts on the web, as well as on Android and iOS devices globally. The company plans to eventually roll it out for business users as well.

«The most relevant search results» is just one of several AI-driven features that Google has implemented in Gmail this year. Less than two weeks ago, the company further integrated Gemini into Gmail, allowing users to search for content related to Calendar within emails and to add events to Calendar directly from emails.
