Ghostly Cats and Dark Realms: The Cooperative Adventure UnderMire Set for 2026 Release

Table Knight Games has unveiled UnderMire, a cooperative roguelite adventure featuring first-person gameplay. Players will descend into a magical, ever-changing bunker to battle the dark forces lurking within.

The storyline of UnderMire follows four teenagers who find themselves trapped in a deep dungeon beneath an ancient English manor. Their guide through this mysterious and dynamic world is a cantankerous ghost cat named MacLean.

Gameplay revolves around exploring a procedurally generated bunker filled with diverse biomes, including office spaces, underground gardens, and the «Nexus of Dark Magic.»

Instead of traditional weaponry, characters wield customizable magical tools. Everyday items like cell phone batteries, hairspray cans, and sandwiches filled with frog paste can be combined using the SMUSH system to create explosives, potions, and other helpful items.

Between runs, players will return to the «Haven»—a cozy cellar located at the top of the bunker. This safe space allows them to upgrade their characters, customize their appearance, and learn more about the manor’s history.

A key feature of the game will be a fear system. As players accumulate fear, they will begin to encounter hallucinations and unexpected foes. UnderMire supports cooperative play for up to four players, but it can also be enjoyed solo.

The game is set to be released in 2026. UnderMire can already be added to your wishlist on Steam. The developers at Table Knight Games have promised a localized Russian text translation.
