Exciting Updates for Aston Martin Ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix

The CEO and head of the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, Andy Cowell, commented on the car updates scheduled for 2025.

«It was challenging to gather data on the aerodynamic package at Silverstone due to the unpredictable weather conditions. However, we will convene at the factory to thoroughly analyze what we know regarding the floor and minor adjustments to the upper bodywork.

We have another significant phase of updates upcoming at Spa, and we will determine our plans for the remainder of the year. While we won’t invest heavily in aerodynamics at this stage, if there are any improvements we can identify that will enhance our car, they will benefit us not just for this year, but also for 2026 and beyond.

The mood is considerably more optimistic. When the car is fast, we score points, and more importantly, we receive more detailed feedback. Regardless, we are executing the same amount of work, but accumulating points always boosts the team’s morale on Mondays, which helps us progress.

The package deployed on the car at Imola performed well, and comparisons with our competitors currently show promising results. It’s essential to understand both the strengths and weaknesses of the car. The trackside team and the support team at the factory are collaborating effectively, and it’s rewarding to witness that,» Cowell said, according to Motorsport Week.
