The Indian version of the base Poco F7 is anticipated to boast a larger battery than the international model. Both variants are rumored to debut on the same day. Interestingly, the Pro and Ultra versions of the Poco F7 series were introduced in several markets in March. The Poco F7 Ultra has also been hinted at for a launch in India earlier.

Poco F7 Launch in India Announced

A post on X from Poco India indicates that fresh smartphones from the brand are set to arrive in India shortly. An earlier communication from the company hints that the upcoming devices will be expansions of the Poco F series, likely including the Poco F7 and Poco F7 Ultra.

A live microsite on Flipkart showcases features from previous Poco F series models. While it does not disclose specific information about the upcoming smartphones or their designations, it confirms that these new devices will be accessible on the e-commerce site.

Earlier, Poco India Chief Himanshu Tandon had alluded to the launch of the Poco F7 Ultra in India. The Indian variant might feature comparable specifications to the global version, which includes a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a triple rear camera setup with 50-megapixels, and a 5,300mAh battery.

In addition, a prior report indicated that the Indian version of the Poco F7 may have a 7,550mAh battery, while the global model could include a smaller 6,550mAh battery. Both versions are projected to feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, a dual rear camera setup with 50-megapixels, and a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat LTPS OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The basic Poco F7 is rumored to be a rebranded model of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which was released in China in April. Notably, the Poco F7 Pro, which was launched along with the Ultra variant in select international markets, is currently not expected to debut in India.
