Emil Iversen: Once Written Off, Now Heading to the Olympics – A Stunning Comeback!

Silver medalist of the 2022 Olympics in the relay and four-time world champion, Norwegian skier **Emil Iversen** has expressed his feelings about his upcoming participation in the 2026 Olympics in Italy. It’s worth mentioning that he has been training alongside the main favorite of the Games, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo.

“It’s a shock that I’m going to the Olympics. In some ways, no one expected this. Two years ago, I was already written off. Only a few believed in me. Of course, I felt like the ghost of my past was looming over me. Ever since becoming a world champion, I haven’t achieved much. Over the past four years, there were many days when I only dreamed of winning a bronze medal, as that would mean just as much to me as gold.

Now, I plan to continue until the end of April. It’s certainly tempting to consider another season. First and foremost, I will ask my girlfriend to make a decision. If she says ‘no,’ there won’t be anything to discuss,” Iversen shared, according to NRK.
