The 34-year-old current UFC bantamweight champion from Georgia, Merab Dvalishvili, has expressed his desire to face 38-year-old Canadian fighter Ayman Zahabi following his victory over Russian fighter Petr Yan.

«I believe my next opponent could be Ayman Zahabi. He has a long winning streak, and I would certainly like to fight a new contender. It would be an intriguing matchup,» Dvalishvili stated, as reported by Bloody Elbow.

It’s worth noting that Zahabi is currently on a seven-fight winning streak in the North American organization. He made his professional MMA debut in November 2012 and is the younger brother of Firas Zahabi, the head coach of the renowned Tristar Gym.
