Deus Ex Remastered Release Delayed Indefinitely Amid Community Feedback

Aspyr has delayed the release of Deus Ex Remastered and has abandoned the previously set release date of February 5, 2026. The game is still expected to launch on PC and consoles, but a new release date has yet to be announced.

In a message to the gaming community, the studio expressed gratitude for the feedback received after the announcement and emphasized that they chose to revise their plans to better meet fan expectations and enhance the quality of the project.

It’s worth noting that following the announcement of the remaster of this timeless classic, fans reacted strongly to the new look of Deus Ex. Gamers voiced concerns about the lost visual identity of the project, issues with lighting, and an overall sense of the game appearing «puppet-like.»

Jerry O’Flaherty, the art director of the original Deus Ex, also did not hold back in his comments: “What the heck! No. This shouldn’t have happened. I apologize to everyone who was involved in this. Oh, well… if it’s happening, then why not? Why am I even judging this?”

If the developers do not change their plans again, players will be able to experience Deus Ex Remastered on PC (Steam), Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch at a later date. A text translation into Russian for this genre classic has been announced.
