Coventry Confirms IOC Has Not Discussed Israels Possible Suspension from Olympics

The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), **Kirsty Coventry**, has confirmed that the executive committee has not discussed the potential suspension of Israel from the 2026 Olympic Games due to the ongoing military actions in Gaza.

The Olympics in Italy are set to take place from February 6 to February 23, 2026. Athletes from Russia will compete under a neutral flag, with the exact number of participants to be determined later. Currently, the IOC executive committee is convening in Milan. It’s worth noting that Coventry assumed the presidency of the organization on June 23.
