Congressman Reveals Plans for UFO Discussions with Russian Legislators

A member of the U.S. Congress has announced that efforts are underway to arrange a meeting with Russian parliamentarians to discuss unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

“We are eager to hold a bipartisan gathering with the Russian parliament in the near future,” stated Representative Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, during an interview with news anchor Chris Cuomo on NewsNation last week.

Luna mentioned that she had «recently» engaged in conversations with Russian officials to ascertain if they possess any information regarding this topic.

However, she did not disclose specifics regarding the format, timing, or venue for the discussions. Neither the U.S. Congress nor the State Duma of Russia have publicly acknowledged the talks.

Her remarks came just before a House Oversight subcommittee hearing on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), where reporter George Knapp claimed that the Soviet Union had attempted to reverse-engineer UFOs during the Cold War.

Luna chairs the Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.

Earlier this month, her office indicated to Russia’s state-run RIA Novosti that a parliamentary meeting between the U.S. and Russia was being organized on «neutral ground,» without specifying the topic of discussion.

Following the summit between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on August 15 in Alaska, Russian lawmakers have also indicated a willingness to talk with their American colleagues.

Formal interactions between the U.S. Congress and Russia’s parliament significantly diminished after Crimea was annexed by Moscow in 2014, and almost ceased following the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
