Carukyan: I Haunt Paddys Mind for Free While Topuria Is Preoccupied with His Ex

UFC fighter and current lightweight ranking leader, Arman Tsarukyan, shared his thoughts on two of his peers—fifth-ranked UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett, and undefeated champion Ilia Topuria.

Tsarukyan remarked, “I live rent-free in Paddy’s head.”

Fan: “What about el plato (‘the duck’ in Spanish—Ed. note from ‘Championships’)?

Tsarukyan: “[Topuria] is preoccupied with his ex-girlfriend,” as reported by the Championship Rounds account on social media platform X.

In the past month, Tsarukyan has achieved two early finishes in different disciplines. On November 22, the Russian fighter became the star of a historic event—the first UFC event in Qatar—where he defeated New Zealander Dan Hooker via submission in the second round of the main event.

Less than a month later, on December 18, Tsarukyan secured another victory by submission, this time on the wrestling mat. In the main event of ACBJJ 20 in Moscow, he faced Mehdi Baidulaev in a Brazilian jiu-jitsu match, where he also executed a rear-naked choke, earning the championship title known as the “Belt of Stars.”
