Boucher Explains McLeods Absence in Third Period of Avangard vs. Spartak Match

The head coach of Omsk’s Avangard, **Guy Boucher**, explained why forward **Michael McLeod** did not take to the ice in the third period of the away match against Moscow’s Spartak (5:1) in the KHL 2024/2025 season.

«McLeod sat out the third period not because of shoulder issues; there’s something else at play. We decided to err on the side of caution, as the score allowed it. We hope to have a clearer understanding tomorrow,» Boucher’s remarks were conveyed by Championship correspondent Lev Lukin.

In the 2024/2025 season, the 27-year-old McLeod has played 16 games for Avangard in the KHL, accumulating 11 points (3 goals and 8 assists). Additionally, he has also played 16 matches for Barys this season, netting three goals and providing three assists.
