Bitget Strengthens Ties with Indian Law Enforcement Through Sahyog Portal Collaboration for Enhanced Cyber Crime Investigations

Bitget cryptocurrency exchange has partnered with India’s Sahyog Portal, which focuses on combating cybercrime, to assist in relevant investigations. This portal operates under the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and is designed to facilitate communication between digital service providers and law enforcement during criminal inquiries. In a statement released on Tuesday, Bitget stated that integrating with the Sahyog Portal would ensure that all future data requests are processed through a secure and legal channel.

Authorities in India utilize the Sahyog Portal to request information such as digital evidence, user information, and transaction history related to ongoing investigations from service providers. According to Bitget, initiatives like Sahyog can enhance collaboration between national agencies and Web3 companies.

In its role with Sahyog, Bitget has committed to assisting law enforcement officials by providing access to technical resources necessary for collecting digital evidence.

«Bitget will consistently work positively with local regulatory bodies to ensure our systems meet the legal and technical standards necessary to assist these agencies,» stated Hon NG, Chief Legal Officer at Bitget.

Through the Sahyog platform integrated with Bitget, Indian agencies will be able to submit data requests directly, in accordance with Indian regulations. The exchange seeks to cultivate a transparent and accountable environment surrounding crypto, particularly as global authorities have heightened their scrutiny of crypto transactions.

«The regulatory and enforcement framework for digital assets in India is rapidly evolving, and our partnership with initiatives like Sahyog represents a meaningful advancement,» noted an official from the exchange.

Earlier this month, the Seychelles-based exchange revealed a collaboration with UNICEF Luxembourg, aiming to educate over 300,000 individuals in Web3 technologies across eight nations, including India, Brazil, Malaysia, and Morocco. This collaboration with Brazil and UNICEF is expected to last three years.

In April, Bitget also joined forces with Avalanche, intending to explore Web3 applications in India and to enhance the country’s Web3 infrastructure and promote blockchain adoption.
