Bethesda Celebrates Fallout 4s Anniversary with Controversial Edition Release

Yesterday, the controversial game Fallout 4 celebrated its tenth anniversary, and in honor of this milestone, the developers at Bethesda released a divisive anniversary edition.

Similar to Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, the new Fallout 4 edition includes all official content (which encompasses the main game and all six expansions), along with 150 various items from the Creation Club—ranging from simple reskins and new gear to minor quests. Naturally, the upgrade is sold separately, meaning even owners of the Game of the Year Edition will need to spend extra if they want to access the package of “Bethesda-approved mods.”

Unsurprisingly, players are not exactly thrilled about another update to a decade-old game, especially one that has once again disrupted the already unstable modding community. Speaking of which, since the release of the next-gen patch a year and a half ago, gamers have reported numerous technical glitches that remain unresolved. Part of these issues were meant to be addressed by the new update, yet complaints continue to pour in.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is available on all target platforms, including PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PlayStation, and Xbox. Meanwhile, Bethesda is preparing a new version for Nintendo Switch 2, set to release next year.
