The studio indicated that the game is inspired by the Ramayana and follows the adventures of Vaanar, a young monkey whose village faces destruction. “Kapih offers a quick-paced, action-filled adventure replete with platforming obstacles and energetic combat. Players will explore a range of meticulously designed stages, each presenting distinctive gameplay twists,” stated 88 Games in a press release. «Besides the run-and-gun action, Kapih will also feature alternative modes such as horizontal shoot-em-up sequences and vehicle-driven gameplay,” they added.

As players advance through the game, they will uncover new weapons and power-ups. The developer noted that the art style is influenced by Kalamkari, Thanjavur, Warli, and Madhubani art forms. “From detailed hand-drawn villages to vibrant mandala-infused terrains, every aspect is crafted with care to showcase the richness of Indian culture,” 88 Games explained.

Players can add Kapih to their wishlists on Steam and Epic Games Store with a confirmed launch on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
