Bellingham Praises Rices Historic Free-Kick Double Against Arsenal

The midfielder of Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham, shared his thoughts on the two direct free-kick goals scored by his England teammate Declan Rice in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against London’s Arsenal (0-3).

“The free kicks came as a surprise. I knew Declan was capable of taking set-pieces, corners, and so on, but I had never seen him pull off something like that before,” Bellingham told BBC.

In this match, Rice achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first player in the history of the Champions League knockout stage to score more than one direct free kick in a single game.

The return leg between the teams will take place on Wednesday, April 16, in Madrid.
