Atlus Teases Potential Remake of Persona 4 After Persona 3 Reload Success

Following the highly successful release of Persona 3 Reload, fans of the franchise are curious whether Atlus has plans to continue remaking previous titles. The indications suggest a positive response, as the company has recently registered a new domain, P4Re.jp, in Japan, which points towards a potential remake of Persona 4.

It’s worth noting that a similar domain, P3Re.jp, was discovered a couple of years ago right before the announcement of Persona 3 Reload—it, too, was registered in March, and the first trailer for the remake was shown in June during the Xbox Games Showcase. Whether this situation will repeat itself this year remains to be seen in the coming months.

The original Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 launched in 2008 on the PlayStation 2, and a few years later, an enhanced version, Persona 4 Golden, was released for PlayStation Vita, which is now available on all major platforms, including PC.

The storyline of Persona 4 takes place in the quaint Japanese town of Inaba, where the protagonist, Yu Narukami, moves for a year. During this time, he, along with his newfound friends, investigates a series of murders connected to a mysterious fog shrouding the town. As in other titles in the series, a significant aspect of the gameplay in Persona 4 involves daily life, focusing on developing social bonds between characters.
