Apple Set to Unveil iPhone 17 Series with Exciting New Models in Early September: Insider Insights

The iPhone 17 series, which will feature four different models, is anticipated to be revealed in September. Although the exact launch date has not been officially announced, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that the keynote is likely to occur during the week commencing September 8. The expected lineup includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air (also referred to as Slim), iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The standard models are reported to be equipped with an A19 chip, whereas the Pro versions may utilize an A19 Pro chip.

During the Q&A segment of the most recent edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman stated that Apple plans to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup between September 8 and September 12. While Apple typically schedules its events after Labour Day and prefers Tuesdays, Gurman mentioned that this year’s iPhone launch event might happen on either September 9 or September 10, with September 8 being a minor possibility.

«Apple never hosts events on Fridays, so we can discard September 12, and it has a history of avoiding product launches on September 11,» Gurman further explained.

The Silicon Valley company generally reveals its new iPhone models in September. The only notable exception to this pattern in recent years occurred in 2020, when the event was postponed to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The iPhone 16 series was introduced on September 9 last year at the ‘It’s Glowtime’ event. The iPhone 15 lineup was presented during the ‘Wonderlust’ event on September 12, 2023.
