Andrey Rublev: Feeling Exhausted and Ready for a Break from the Season

The 15th-ranked tennis player in the world, Russian athlete Andrey Rublev, admitted that he is emotionally drained from the 2025 season and is looking forward to its conclusion. The Russian has lost his last five singles matches.

– I feel good. I’m already counting down the days until the season ends (laughs). There’s not much left, so everything is fine. I really need a break (pause. — Ed. note) overall. I’m overly exhausted, completely drained, experiencing a kind of burnout (emotional fatigue. — Ed. note).

I definitely need a break, and then I’ll be able to tackle everything with renewed energy. Thank goodness I feel great off the court, improving more and more. It’s just a matter of time before that translates onto the court.

– When did you realize you were experiencing burnout?
– Probably at the very beginning in China, I really noticed it after the first tournament, — said Rublev during an interview on “Bolshe!”.
