Agit Kabayel Successfully Weighs In Ahead of Championship Fight in Germany

The interim WBC heavyweight champion, German boxer of Kurdish descent **Agit Kabayel**, and the undefeated Pole **Damian Knyba** successfully completed their official weigh-in ahead of their match scheduled for January 10 in Oberhausen, Germany.

Kabayel weighed in at 109.2 kg, while his opponent Knyba tipped the scales at 117 kg. Both fighters met the limit for the heavyweight division (over 90.7 kg) and demonstrated their readiness for the bout.

Agit Kabayel (26-0, 18 KOs) currently holds the interim WBC championship and ranks third in The Ring’s contender list. His last appearance in the ring was in February 2025, where he achieved a knockout victory over Chinese boxer Zhang Zhilei. In contrast, Damian Knyba (17-0, 11 KOs) is positioned 38th in the WBC rankings and has never competed in a 12-round fight before.

Prior to the weigh-in, Kabayel expressed his ambition to face undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk following this match, highlighting that such a contest could fill any arena in Germany and would pique the interest of fans around the globe.
