Denis Glushakov: Spartak Must Own Up to Their Poor Spring Performance

Former midfielder of Spartak, **[Denis Glushakov](https://www.example.com)**, expressed his belief that the Moscow club is to blame for their performance during the spring part of the season. Under the guidance of **Dejan Stanković**, the team currently holds the fifth position in the Russian Premier League standings. On Thursday, May 15, the red-and-whites suffered a loss to Rostov (1-2) in the final of the Regions Path of the Russian Cup.

“Spartak is responsible for their disappointing spring season. They need to convert their chances. They brought in players during the winter transfer window and spent significant money… Rostov played a disciplined game. It felt like they were the ones who wanted to win more,” Glushakov stated on Match TV.

On April 18, Spartak will face Samara’s Krylia Sovetov in the 29th round of the current season of the Russian Premier League.
