Permanent 5v5 Mode Now Live in Highguard Following Positive Player Feedback

In reviews of Highguard, many players mention that the maps feel a bit too large for the current «3v3» match format. Last week, the developers from Wildlight Entertainment temporarily introduced a «5v5» mode, which has now become a permanent addition to the game.

«You asked for it, and we are excited to announce that the ‘5v5’ mode is here to stay!» the developers stated, expressing their gratitude to all users who tried out the mode over the weekend. Players have spread themselves fairly evenly between the two modes, which helped the team make the final decision to implement the new format.

Comments on the post and on Reddit are filled with enthusiasm. Those who decided to stick with Highguard are celebrating the new mode and praising the developers: «You can definitely feel the difference. Matches have become more dynamic and exciting. There are still many issues in the game, but this is a step in the right direction.» Some users were impressed by how quickly the «5v5» mode was implemented, leading to speculation that it had been in development for some time. Thanks to this update, there’s finally some positive buzz surrounding Highguard.

Highguard is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, following a free-to-play model. Currently, there is no Russian localization. Since its launch, the game’s user rating on Steam has slightly improved, now hovering around the «mixed» level (43%).
