FIS Grants Russian Paralympians Access to Competitions with Flag and Anthem

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has authorized Russian Paralympians to compete using their national flag and anthem.

«FIS is required to allow Russian para-athletes to participate in all FIS tournaments under the same conditions recommended by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC),» meaning there will be no application of AIN status.

FIS has acknowledged the updated decision from CAS and confirms its willingness to undertake the necessary organizational measures for its implementation,» states a message on the official website.

It is important to note that in September 2025, the IPC officially reinstated the rights of the Russian Paralympic Committee following a prolonged ban due to the situation in Ukraine.
