Islam Makhachev Reveals Jack Della Maddalenas Coach Set to Train in Dagestan for Two to Three Years

The 34-year-old reigning UFC welterweight champion from Russia, **Islam Makhachev**, announced that **Craig Jones**, a well-known jiu-jitsu expert and coach of Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter **Jack Della Maddalena**, has agreed to his invitation to come to Dagestan for two to three years to improve his grappling skills. The bout between Jack and Islam served as the main event for UFC 322 and ended with Makhachev winning by unanimous decision.

«I told him [after the fight], ‘Your jiu-jitsu isn’t working. You should come to Dagestan for two to three years [to enhance your grappling].’ He laughed and told Khabib that he would come,» Makhachev mentioned during the post-fight press conference.

With this victory, Islam extended his winning streak to 16 fights under the UFC banner. As a result, Makhachev has now equaled the record of the legendary UFC Hall of Famer Anderson Silva for the most wins in the world’s premier organization.
