Eduardo Lobos: No Members Left from Chiles Copa-Winning Generation

The former goalkeeper of Krylya Sovetov, **Eduardo Lobos**, shared his thoughts on the Chilean national team ahead of their match against Russia. The game is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi.

“Not a single player from the generation that won the Copa América twice remains in the national team. Currently, several promising players compete in the top leagues, but they haven’t managed to establish consistency or competitiveness within the squad. Chile is now focused on qualifying for the 2030 World Cup and is therefore on the lookout for players to participate in the qualifying matches. Additionally, it’s still uncertain who will be the head coach for the Chilean team in the coming years,” Lobos stated in an interview with Championship correspondent Vladimir Chetverikov.

Chile has won the Copa América two times (2015, 2016). Eduardo Lobos played in the Russian league for Krylya Sovetov from 2005 to 2011 and has one appearance for the national team.
