Russian forward of the Washington Capitals, **[Alex Ovechkin](https://www.nhl.com/player/alex-ovechkin-8471210)**, mentioned that he witnessed the moment when St. Louis Blues goalie Jordan Binnington attempted to conceal the historic puck by tucking it into his gear right after Ovechkin scored.

«Yeah, I saw that happen. I won’t comment on it,» Ovechkin said, according to ESPN.

It’s worth noting that the linesman approached Binnington and asked him to return the valuable puck. The goalie had to retrieve the puck from his equipment, which proved to be quite a challenge. Throughout his career in the league, Ovechkin has played 1,504 games, scoring 900 goals and delivering 731 assists.
