Alcaraz Reveals Disappointment After Early Exit at Paris Masters

Six-time Grand Slam champion and current world number one, Spanish tennis player **Carlos Alcaraz**, shared his thoughts on his second-round defeat at the Paris Masters. He lost to British player **Cameron Norrie** with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 4-6.

**»I had a lot of practice here and felt great, moving well on the court and connecting well with the ball. My plans and objectives were clear. However, even in the first set that I won, I felt I could have done much more. In the second set, I tried to play better, but it actually went the other way. I felt even worse. I have to give credit to Cam [Norrie], as he didn’t allow me to get back into the match. I had a few break points that could have helped me a lot, but I didn’t take advantage of them due to some simple mistakes. I’m very disappointed with my performance today; it is what it is.»**

**»How do you think you’ll recover for the last three tournaments of the year if you’re not in the best physical condition right now?»**
**»Well, I’m not sure. I’ll do my best to prepare for Turin and the Davis Cup—very important tournaments ahead for me. Right now, I just want to get back home and see what happens. But of course, I’ll continue training and preparing, and I’ll work on not repeating this kind of performance,»** Alcaraz said at the press conference.
