Victorious Surge Followed by Struggles: Victoria Mbokos Four-Match Losing Streak After WTA-1000 Triumph

The 24th-ranked player from Canada, **Victoria Mboko**, has faced four consecutive losses following her victory at the WTA 1000 tournament held in Montreal, Canada, last August.

In Montreal, Mboko claimed the first title of her career, defeating Japan’s Naomi Osaka in the final with a score of 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. She entered the tournament with a wild card and had never previously reached the finals of a WTA event. Since that triumph, however, she has lost four matches in a row.

Today, on October 14, in the first round of the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo, China, Mboko was defeated by Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska, currently ranked 30th in the world. The match concluded with a score of 3-6, 6-7. The Ningbo tournament runs from October 13 to 19.
