Farewell to a One-of-a-Kind Champion: Miriam Gössner Pays Tribute to Laura Dahlmeier

Silver medalist of the 2010 Olympic relay and two-time world champion in relays, the German biathlete **Miriam Neureuther (Gössner)** shared a heartfelt post in memory of her fellow countrywoman, **Laura Dahlmeier**, a two-time Olympic champion and seven-time world champion in biathlon, who tragically lost her life in the mountains.

«Dear Laura, I am at a loss for words to express how shocked I am by the news of your passing! From being a little one in kindergarten to the time spent at our ski club in Garmisch *(both Gössner and Dahlmeier hail from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen community in Bavaria—editor’s note)*, and then throughout the years in professional biathlon, I will cherish these memories in my heart forever! You were an extraordinary athlete, and I truly believe there won’t be another like you in this world!

But above all, we will all deeply miss you as a person, Laura! I wish so much that you are in a good place now! Dear Laura, we will never forget you,» Gössner wrote on social media.
