Laurent Mekies Apologizes to Yuki Tsunoda for Pit Stop Error at Belgian Grand Prix

The head of Red Bull, **[Laurent Mekies](https://example.com)**, expressed his apologies to the team’s Japanese driver **Yuki Tsunoda** for the poor timing of a pit stop during the Belgian Grand Prix.

«We called Yuki in for a pit stop too late, which cost him several positions on the track. I sincerely apologize to him, as he was performing well up until that point. The team was ready; it was simply our fault for bringing him in too late. We’ll make sure to rectify this next time.

He had a strong qualifying session yesterday. We introduced some upgrades to the car just before qualifying, and adjusting to those conditions is quite challenging. However, he did an excellent job, and I’m pleased for Yuki. Today, he also showed the right pace and was definitely in a position to score some points, but it didn’t work out that way. This weekend, we took a significant step forward, and I hope we can continue this momentum in Budapest,» Mekies was quoted as saying by RaceFans.
