New Feature Alert: Google’s Circle to Search Expands to Android, Now Tracks Your Song Searches

This year, Google introduced a new feature in its iOS app that allows users to view their previously searched songs. Now, this function is also being made available on Android devices. This enhancement is reportedly an expansion of the Song Search functionality which utilizes Circle to Search — Google’s visual recognition tool powered by artificial intelligence (AI) — to identify a song that’s playing.

Song Search History in Circle to Search on Android

The Song Search history feature is being deployed with the stable version 16.27 of the Google app on Android (via 9to5Google). When you activate the Song Search feature, a familiar interface prompts you to Play, sing, or hum a song for recognition.

A new icon has been added in the top-right corner, displaying the songs you have recently searched for. According to the description from the tech giant based in Mountain View, “To assist you in your searches, the Google app saves your latest searches.”
