It is worth mentioning that the mural was created by a local artist to celebrate the player’s 18th birthday, which was on Sunday, July 13. The artwork depicted the young footballer as a popular comic book character, Superman. The mural featured the phrase, «When the will is strong, obstacles are surmountable. Super Lamine.»

The celebration for Lamine’s milestone birthday has sparked controversy due to the participation of individuals with dwarfism at the event. According to the Association of People with Achondroplasia and other skeletal dysplasias, these individuals were meant to entertain the guests. As reported by COPE, there were concerns that the event may have violated disability laws.
