Google Pixel 10 Set to Elevate Performance with Expanded Battery and Enhanced Charging Features Ahead of August Launch

Google is anticipated to unveil the Pixel 10 series in August. As we await the official announcement, fresh information has surfaced online, shedding light on the features of the standard Pixel 10 device. According to the recent leak, the forthcoming smartphone is expected to come equipped with a larger battery and enhanced wireless charging capabilities. It is anticipated to utilize Google’s proprietary Tensor G5 processor and may include 12GB of RAM. The Pixel 10 is believed to sport a 6.3-inch screen and a triple rear camera configuration, which includes a new telephoto lens.

New Leak Reveals Key Specifications of the Pixel 10

Android Headlines has outlined the potential specifications for the standard Pixel 10 in advance of its expected release on August 20. The device is reported to feature a 4,970mAh battery, an upgrade from the 4,700mAh battery found in last year’s Pixel 9. The new version is said to support 29W wired charging as well as 15W Qi2 wireless charging, marking a considerable enhancement over the 27W wired charging available in the Pixel 9.

Moreover, sources suggest that the Pixel 10 will come with a 6.3-inch full HD+ display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate. It is rumored to offer HDR brightness reaching 2,000 nits, an improvement from the 1,800 nits offered by the Pixel 9. The screen is also likely to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The Pixel 10 is thought to be powered by a Tensor G5 chipset, produced using TSMC’s advanced 3nm manufacturing process. In terms of photography, the smartphone is expected to include a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel 1/2.0-inch primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a new 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto sensor. However, the 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens represents a downgrade compared to the 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor featured on the Pixel 9.

Reports indicate that Google is equipping the Pixel 10 with 12GB of RAM, and the device will be offered in both 128GB and 256GB storage variants.

Earlier leaks suggest that the Pixel 10 will incorporate significant enhancements, such as better speaker quality and gimbal-level image stabilization. However, it seems that the smartphone will forgo Wi-Fi 7 and vapour chamber cooling technologies.

The Pixel 10 is expected to be officially announced during a Made by Google event on August 20, along with the Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Sales are anticipated to commence on August 28.
