Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Set to Arrive Next Month with Cutting-Edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip and Impressive Features

The Xiaomi Mix Flip was introduced in July 2024, and the Chinese technology company appears to be preparing the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 as the much-anticipated follow-up to its initial clamshell-style foldable smartphone. A source has leaked the timeline for the release of the new foldable device. The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is anticipated to be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This new model is also rumored to have a 6.85-inch inner display along with a dual rear camera system featuring a 50-megapixel setup. Additionally, it is expected to support 67W wired charging.

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Expected to Launch Next Month

The insider, Digital Chat Station, shared on Weibo that Xiaomi is set to launch the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 in June. The brand is also expected to reveal other products, including the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition and a new Redmi gaming tablet during the same period. However, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is likely to be introduced at a separate event rather than alongside the new Redmi devices.

This upcoming model is rumored to operate on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is likely to be Xiaomi’s only foldable phone for this year, as reports suggest the company may not proceed with the launch of its expected successor to the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 in 2025.

According to earlier leaks, Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is expected to have a 6.85-inch LTPO OLED inner display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 1.5K resolution. It is also predicted to include a dual rear camera configuration featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor (1/1.5-inch) and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor (1/2.76-inch). Furthermore, it might be powered by a 5,100mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 was recently listed on the 3C website with the model number 2505APX7BC. This listing indicated it would support wired charging at speeds of up to 67W. It is also expected to incorporate a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The device may have an IPX8 rating for dust and water resilience and could measure approximately 7.6mm in thickness, weighing around 190 grams.

In the previous year, the company launched the Xiaomi Mix Flip in China at a price of CNY 5,999 (around Rs. 69,000) for the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It was rolled out to selected global markets in September 2024.

This device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and comes with a 4,780mAh battery that supports 67W fast wired charging. It features a 4.01-inch cover display along with a 6.86-inch inner screen and boasts a dual rear camera system developed in collaboration with Leica.
