Introducing Modern Page Templates in Microsoft SharePoint for Streamlined Page Creation

SharePoint, Microsoft’s corporate tool designed for building internal pages and document sharing, has recently undergone a significant update. The service now features templates that allow for the rapid creation of pages. This new capability will be available to all users by early August.

The design team at Microsoft has developed over 30 page templates, including options for Employee Onboarding, AI/LLM Training, Product News, Messages from Leadership, Team Introductions, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and much more. Microsoft has pledged to introduce additional templates based on user feedback.

Users can create pages in SharePoint using these new templates from the Communication home page or Teams, as well as through the navigation panel on the left side of SharePoint. To get started, simply go to the New menu, select Page, and choose templates from Microsoft.

Looking ahead, Microsoft intends to incorporate features that will allow users to create and publish custom templates, as well as Copilot templates for utilization while generating pages with Copilot. However, a timeline for when these features will be ready for users has not yet been disclosed.
